Completing procurement

IntroductionUp

Procurement is not complete until two other operations are performed. We consider them distinct from procurement, and they are documented in the reference section rather than here, because they are also part of the assimilation workflow.

Registration

One operation is source registration. You normally perform this as soon as you know that a source is being procured. This early registration causes the source to be included in the list of registered sources. If the source is printed and will not arrive until later, you can inspect it on arrival and amend its registration as needed.

Organization

The other operation is resource organization. When you procure a digital source, you are expected to organize its files in the prescribed manner and store them in the PanLex resource archive.
